We have become
alerted to the ongoing, persistant and horrific situation that so
many homeless refugees are in throughout the world, but particularly
in the Budubaram Refugee Camp in
Ghana, West Africa. Through instant messenging on the
Internet we are in direct contact with 3 refugees who are
currently in this camp and are now doing whatever we can to
assist them.
In
order to protect the identity of the refugees from those who might
want to exploit them where they live, some of the pages on this site
are not currently accessable to the public. Therefore you need
to request access by filling out a registration form
and wait to receive an e-mail containing the
username and password or join our on-line community and access the log in
information in our private forum
.
It is the primary goal of this effort to provide the tools
and the means for caring families and individuals in our community
to become aquainted with these dear people and become an extended
family to them here in Canada. By doing this we give them a sense of
genuine hope and a source of encouragement to help them in finding
the means to be able to sustain themselves, improve their education
and see their dreams and goals become reality. Toward this end, we
invite you to catch the vision, become acquainted with them
yourselves via the internet and become an
extension of their North American family by becoming a part of our
on-line community.
We can show them we care,
express our concern and offer them our
love
...and we can give them hope today!
Through
the Internet, it is now possible to do this effectively and fairly
inexpensively without the support or direct involvement of
government, NGO's or existing relief organizations. We have the
means to directly impact the lives of people in need and do it
immediately. 100% of the financial aid we send them goes
directly into their hands through the secure money
transfer service provided by Western
Union.
This is a private membership site because we
are concerned that others with less than pure motives may use the
information offered on this site to exploit the refugees who are
benefitting from this effort. We are notofficially registered as a
not-for-profit organization, but are just a family of caring folks, just like you, endeavoring to make a difference
in the lives of others less fortunate than ourselves. Thanks for
